Harvest Christian University Status

Harvest Christian University, recognized as an indigenous educational institution, benefits from specific legal protections due to its status. As outlined under Section 508(c)(1)(A) of the Internal Revenue Code, the university enjoys educational sovereignty, which allows it to operate independently of state and federal regulatory oversight. This autonomy enables the university to develop curricula that reflect indigenous knowledge, languages, and cultural practices, thereby preserving its cultural heritage while providing a comprehensive education. Additionally, the university holds a tax-exempt status under the same section, which allows it to allocate resources towards delivering high-quality education without the burden of federal income tax obligations.

This financial autonomy supports the university's mission to offer culturally relevant and community-focused educational services. Furthermore, Harvest Christian University's status is recognized internationally under the Hague Convention of the United Nations Charter, allowing it to facilitate and operate across international borders. This international recognition enhances its ability to maintain educational sovereignty and uphold its indigenous identity on a global scale.
